In 2010, Agricultores Federados Argentinos Limited Cooperative Society entered the peas’ market and in a short period of time it became the greatest exporter for human consumption in Argentina selling 35,000 tons of peas each year to 8 countries, especially Brazil.

Considering this and the objective of following a successful path, the Cooperative inaugurated a Legume Processing Plant on December 19th 2013in the locality of Rueda (Province of Santa Fe), in the center of the leguminous area par excellence.

The brand new Processing Plant has a process line for the selection, the division and the packaging of legumes in bags of 500 and 1,000 gm; 25, 40 and 50 kg and big bags with a state-of-the-art technology and a lot of automated processes.

The Processing Plant in Rueda has a stockpiling capacity of 80,000 tons and it is used to process peas, broken peas, lentils, garbanzo beans and popcorn and to package rice.

In this way, AFA Limited Cooperative Society cares about the Associates’ concerns and the world growing demand for food, creating reliable alternatives out of the traditional commodities with the objective of improving the associate producers and their families’ revenues, diversifying the national agricultural production and making it more sustainable.
